THE USL2

USL League Two, the pathway to professional soccer in the USA, is an amateur league, featuring top collegiate athletes from around the globe. Over 70% of the players in Major League Soccer (MLS) have played previously in the USL League Two. This year 49 former USL League Two players were selected in the MLS SuperDraft.

DUBBED THE PATH2PRO

the USL League Two is the foundation of player development to the professional ranks including the USL and Major League Soccer. Each league utilizes League Two for player development differently on a club-by-club basis. For instance, a Major League Soccer club will operate or affiliate with a League Two organization in order to provide their players the opportunity to obtain the precious training time needed in order to qualify for homegrown status. Similarly, higher tier USL clubs will utilize League Two for player identification.

THE BENEFITS

of operating a team within the USL League Two are numerous. From player development to supporting the local community, League Two is a versatile property. A critical component of this venture is to provide a platform for Black Rock FC players who aspire to play at the professional level to further their development and be identified by pro scouts and agents.
