Selected players demonstrated outstanding character, performance and intelligence while representing Black Rock throughout April.
ABOUT THE APRIL TEAM OF THE MONTH
Michaella Moncecchi has trained expcetional well throughout the month of April and has given any team she has played or guested on, the type of goalkeeping performance that grows confidence in a team.
Alex Preziotti played as a defender for the U17 Girls team. Alex offered support and a defensive backbone to her team that allowed the girls to compete against any team they played. Her comfort on the ball and ability to play out of the back, was great to see during her games.
Matt Bailey continues to train hard with whatever group he plays with. He grows into games and his confidence, athletic nature and ability on the ball allows him to terrrorize the oppositions full back up and down the left channel.
Britney Burns and Adelaide anchored the U19 Girls Prep team during the Scorpion Bowl and Cap City events. Composed and assured on the ball allowed the team to build from the back and put in positive performances.
Adelaide Aramah, alongside her Centerback partner, allowed for two tournament wins for her team, and played some exceptional soccer throughout the month of April
Mac Zdiarski trained very well all month and played superbly in his 06 games at holding mid.
Eujin Chae showed up to every single Thursday and Sunday training session for the month of April and the South vs East Friendly. He works extremely hard in training often competing against players 2-3 years older than him. His game has improved throughout the season because of his hard work and dedication to showing up to training sessions. In games, he has demonstrated an ability to play great balls into the final 1/3. His range of passing is tremendous. He is also very helpful in picking up and moving equipment during and after training.
Sofia Weber played holding center mid dictated the games and was strong both with and without the ball, scored 2 and assisted 2 in scorpion bowl tournament
Jalia Musah played striker at scorpion bowl 6 goals and 3 assists for the weekend.
Javier Morejon scored our first goal on a Penalty kick where he hit a Panenka by the keeper. He helped to control all 3 games against our opponents in the center midfield. He easily broke down the other team's defense and created for us all tournament. The U19 Premier went 2-1 and won their group.
Ousseni Bouda was the top scorer with several memorable bangers at Dallas Cup.
Honorable Mention - Luke Smith's play did not go unnoticed during April and especially at the Dallas cup where he controlled play and scored a memorable blast from distance.
