ABOUT THE

RESIDENTIAL ACADEMIES

The Black Rock Football Club Residential Academies are collaborative partnerships with traditional independent boarding schools "prep schools" with their own distinct history and offerings.  Our residential academies currently operate in three regions in the United States - New England (New Hampshire), the Northeast (New York), and the Midwest (Ohio).  Student-athletes selected for the BRFC Residential Academies attend Northwood School, High Mowing School, or Western Reserve Academy, and participate in daily soccer-related activities throughout the academic year (August - June). During the fall season, student-athletes play against high level prep school and high school teams.  In the winter and spring they play top domestic and international club teams.  Throughout the year the teams will travel to elite level tournaments and college recruitment events across the country.

THE PROGRAM INCLUDES

  • Periodization training model
  • Access to state of the art facilities
  • Leadership training
  • Global service trips
  • Soccer exchange programs
  • College placement mentoring
  • Consultation with registered FIFA agents for representation and or pro club trials

Northwood School is a co-ed residential independent boarding school

(grades 9 - 12) situated in the beautiful mountain village of Lake Placid, New York. Known for its sporting history, Lake Placid played host of the 1980 and 1932 Winter Olympic Games.

Since 1905, Northwood School’s mission has been rooted in two imperative duties: to foster growth in young people and to prepare them to engage their world. A Northwood School education provides students with first hand experiences that allow them to find and explore their passions, to hone their skills and build a knowledge base that will prepare them to face the challenges of the modern world. The experiences also set Northwood School students apart in the college admissions process.
